Privacy policy
How this site handles your data
This policy covers the website coldcopy.app (media-archive.codelaw.pro until 2026-11-02, which now forwards there): what it measures about your visit, what you send through its early-access form, which services receive that data, and how you choose.
Version 6, effective November 2, 2026.
Who we are
CodeLaw (the trade name of 16111033 Canada Inc., "we") makes Coldcopy and runs this website. The operator and controller of visitor data is 16111033 Canada Inc. Contact: friends@codelaw.pro.
The Coldcopy software itself runs on your Mac and uploads to buckets in your own AWS account. Your footage and files never reach us, so this policy does not cover them.
What this site collects
- The pages you view, the page you came from, your device, browser and screen, and your approximate location from your IP address, as far as your choice allows (see Cookies and your choices).
- With Datadog RUM: page speed, errors, clicks and a replay of what the page showed during your visit. Text you type is masked in your browser before anything is sent.
- When you use the early-access form: what you send and how you filled it in (see The early-access form).
- Your consent choice, kept in your own browser.
- When you write to us or book a call: what you send.
Services that receive visitor data
- Google Analytics 4 (Google): measures visits. With your consent it uses cookies; without it, Google receives only measurements without cookies or identifiers (Google Consent Mode).
- Datadog RUM (Datadog, US data center): page speed, errors, clicks and session replay with typed text masked; it sets a cookie for the visit and runs only while your choice allows.
- Vercel: hosts this website and receives your IP address and browser details with every request. A Vercel function tells our banner your country and region from your IP address; we do not store them.
- Wantmeter (wantmeter.com, our forms platform, hosted by Vercel): your browser sends the early-access form straight to it, with your IP address and browser details; it checks the form and passes it on to Notion, and keeps no copy.
- Notion (Notion Labs, United States): stores early-access requests and form journeys in our workspace. Only Wantmeter sends them; your browser never contacts Notion.
- Resend (Resend, United States): sends, for Wantmeter, the confirmation email of your early-access request to the address you gave and a copy of the request to us. Opens and clicks are not tracked.
- Calendly, only when you book a call: what you enter there is collected on Calendly's own site.
- Google Workspace (our email), only when you write to us.
The early-access form
- The form on this page is run by Wantmeter, our forms platform: what you send goes from your browser to wantmeter.com and from there into Notion.
- When you send it: your name, email and answers; how you filled it in (which questions you saw, answered or changed, from which option to which, and the seconds spent on each); the page you sent it from and the page that linked you to this site; and your privacy choice at that moment, with its date and the version of this policy.
- If you start it and leave without sending it, and your choice allows measurement: how far you got, the options you picked and the seconds on each question. The name and email you typed are never sent, and nothing is sent while your choice refuses measurement.
- When you send it, Wantmeter emails you a fixed confirmation that holds nothing you typed, and emails us a copy of your request.
- We use it to reply to you, to set up early access with you, and to learn from the journeys which questions are unclear.
- It stays in Notion until early access ends; then we delete it unless you became a customer. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Cookies and your choices
- This site uses Google Consent Mode and its own banner; no consent service of another company is involved.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Quebec, nothing is stored on your device and Datadog RUM does not start until you choose Accept; until then Google Analytics receives only measurements without cookies. Vercel tells where you are from your IP address; when it cannot, you are treated as being in one of these regions.
- Elsewhere, Google Analytics and Datadog RUM run by default, the banner says so, and Reject turns them off.
- An early-access request is saved together with your privacy choice at that moment, its date and the version of this policy.
- Your choice is saved in your browser (local storage) with its date and the version of this policy. You are asked again when this policy gets a new version; a refusal always stays. The Privacy choices link at the bottom of every page changes it at any time.
How long it is kept
- Google Analytics keeps visit data for 14 months.
- Datadog keeps RUM sessions and session replays for 30 days.
- Early-access requests and form journeys stay in Notion until early access ends (see The early-access form).
- Vercel keeps request logs for a short time to run the site.
- Your consent choice stays in your browser until you clear it.
Your rights
Google, Datadog, Vercel (which also hosts Wantmeter), Notion and Resend process this data in the United States and other countries. We do not sell personal data, and this site runs no advertising tags. You can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of data about you, an early-access request included, by writing to friends@codelaw.pro.
Changes
When what this site collects changes, this policy gets a new version and date, and the banner asks you again.
